• We're excited about the upcoming release of Margie Haack's memoir, The Exact Place — which is now officially scheduled for September 29! (Get pre-order pricing of $12.95 until then.)
• Speaking of The Exact Place: our good friend Byron Borger, proprietor of Hearts & Minds Books and blogger of BookNotes, very kindly included Margie's book in his list of 10 Best Memoirs of Summer 2012! He also announced that Hearts & Minds is the exclusive retailer to offer The Exact Place for pre-order. Do take your book-buying business to Byron as often as you can.
• Call for Submissions: over a year ago, we put out a call for inquiries regarding a project we want to do on Miscarriage, Infertility, and Adoption. We have had some interest in this project, but need a few more writers to round it out. If you are interested in learning more, see our original post on this project and how to submit your name and idea.
• Newsletters: we're going to begin e-mailing out an occasional (2-4 times a year) newsletter, with details about our titles and authors, information about forthcoming books, and discount offers! They will be a bit like an expanded version of these "Books & Authors Notes" blog posts.
